Our School Calender

Please Note:

On the day of Christmas, Easter and Summer Holidays the school will close at 12 noon.

1. WRITTEN EXPLANATION MUST BE GIVEN FOR ALL ABSENCES OR EARLY COLLECTION

2. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EDUCATIONAL WELFARE ACT THE SCHOOL MUST REPORT  ANY CHILDREN WHO HAVE MISSED 20 DAYS OR MORE IN ONE SCHOOL YEAR.

3.If the school has to close due to unforeseen circumstances parents will be informed asap.

School Calendar 2026/27

  • School will be closed on Fri 29th May, Mon 1st and Tue 2nd June
  • School will finish for all on Thur 25th June at 12 noon.

  • School will return on Thursday 27th of August 2026
  • October Midterm – school will close 26thOct and reopen Mon 2nd Nov
  • School will close on Monday 30th November
  • Christmas Holidays – School will finish on Dec 22nd at 12 noon and reopen on Wednesday 6thJan 2027
  • School will close Mon 1st Feb St. Bridget’s Day
  • Feb Midterm – School will be closed Thurs 18th and Fri 19th Feb
  • School will close 17th March St. Patricks Day
  • Easter Holidays – School will finish on Fri 19th March at 12 noon and reopen on Mon 5th April
  • May Bank Holiday school will be closed on Friday 30th April, Mon 3rd and Tue 4th May
  • June Bank Holiday school will be closed on Fri 4th and Monday 7thJune
  • School will finish for all on Friday 25th June at 12 noon for summer holidays

 

*Any other unscheduled days off, parents will be notified by text.

  • All absences must be explained in writing via email or via phone
  • If any child misses more than 20 days we are obliged to report to the National Educational Welfare Board. Unexplained absences ill be reported as unexplained

Please have your child in school on time each day for 9 a.m. start so that they can get settled and start work with their peers, avoid disrupting the teacher and the teaching and learning of others.
